Celebrating the girl child day and mother mary’s birthday

At Don Bosco Yuva Kendra - Nirmal, the Girl Child Day and the Birthday of Mother Mary were jointly celebrated on September 11. Forty-four young Catholic girls from Standards V–X, representing five villages in Vasai, participated in the event, which began at 10:15 am with a prayer. Sr. Mangal Kolge, an animator from the Dahanu community with extensive experience in the social sector, was welcomed and introduced with a bouquet of flowers. The children watched a short film and then engaged in group discussions, sharing their feelings, thoughts, and the values learned. The girls also showcased their talents by enacting various scenes from the Gospel. The community sponsored a delicious meal, which was served by members of the Educating Community. Games were conducted, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The day concluded with the distribution of a gift pouch, sweets, and biscuits to each girl.
