Bal Mela and Human Rights Day celebration at Pushpanjali, Dakor

Pushpanjali - Dakor celebrated Human Rights Days and the Bal Mela for all the NCP children from 10 villages on December 13, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mr. Ashwin Parmar, the Programme Director, was the Chief Guest, while Bhavesh Dhobi and Chetana Macwan, staff and counselor respectively from Childline, were the Resource Persons. They spoke emphatically about Human Rights and Child Rights, interacting with the children during the training. The solemn function began with a welcome dance and the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, sending a message to eradicate vices such as child labor, child marriage, child infanticide, sexual abuse, and child harassment. Mr. Mehul Christi, the NCP President, and other office bearers confidently took an oath in the presence of 400 children to courageously accept their responsibilities and use their abilities to improve their lives and the lives of their peers. Sr. Sunanda Solanki, the animator of Pushpanjali - Dakor, exhorted the children to follow the advice of their elders and guides and diligently carry out their responsibilities. A cultural program, compered by the children themselves, followed and concluded with the distribution of snacks and fruits.
