Government schemes and Child Protection Policy awareness for women in AHMEDNAGAR

A program was conducted for 125 women in AHMEDNAGAR. Mr. Ashutosh Ganekar, the Training Officer, and Mr. N. Gauli, the Administrator, both from the Zilla Udyog, enlightened the women on various government schemes. One scheme was for enrolling women in a training program of their choice, where they would receive a stipend of Rs.1000/- upon completing the training. A Child Protection Policy awareness program was also held for the women. Some women were unaware of the harm done to children. The women promised to take care of and protect their children and to build confidence in them so that the children are better prepared. (Report by Sr. Mangal Kolge)
